Comfort Meets Sustainability

Merino wool is a renewable resource, making it one of the most sustainable fabrics available. With access to grass and water, their fleece naturally regenerates each year, providing a continuous and sustainable source.

Feel good about dressing your family in Simply Merino

Temperature Regulating

Merino wool naturally insulates in the cold by trapping air and keeps you cool in the heat by absorbing and releasing moisture.

Incredibly Soft

Merino wool is soft because its ultra-fine fibers—typically 18–24 microns—are smoother and gentler against the skin than regular wool.

Machine Washable

Merino wool’s naturally crimped fibers and smooth surface help it retain shape and resist shrinking, especially when washed gently with cool water and a wool-safe detergent.

Wicks Away Moisture

Merino wool keeps you dry by wicking moisture away from your skin and absorbing it into the fibers without feeling wet.

Hypoallergenic

Merino wool naturally wicks moisture and resists bacteria and dust mites, helping reduce allergen buildup.

Naturally Fire Resistant

Merino wool is naturally fire-resistant, thanks to its keratin-rich fibers and moisture content, which cause it to smolder rather than ignite.

Durable

Merino wool is durable because its fine, strong fibers are naturally elastic, allowing them to bend without breaking.

Biodegradable

Merino wool is fully biodegradable—cut it into small pieces and compost in soil, where it naturally breaks down within 12 months and enriches the earth.

Pros & Cons

There are elements of this swimsuit I really love and some I really don't. The good: it feels good on the skin, it fits fairly well - snug in a good way, I love the deep sea colour as well as the choice of gold on the straps. The bad: the chest area doesn't fit so well - for reference, I'm 5"5', approx. 130 lbs, and my chest is 27" at the largest part, and I wear a size small. Because I'm not so busty, there's quite a gap at the top, which doesn't look very flattering. The other con is that the stitching along the top back seam has already come out, and I've hardly worn it!

This is the best swimming suit I have ever owned. It’s comfortable, fits perfectly, and accentuates the proper places while covering all the imperfections! Also I LOVE the coverage!

Not the Fit for me but Worked for my Co-worker

I am 5 feet tall and thought the small would work…but it was saggy in all the wrong places. I showed my co-worked the pickle colour and she had to try it on. Fit her just great…so it went to a good home. I think I may need to do 2 piece as I love the idea of merino wool. Quality looked great.

Love their product

I ordered several tops, leggings and a bathing suit for a 10 day trip to Peru. This was my first order from Simply Merino and I was impressed with the quality of each item. I was searching for a North American company that did not manufacture in Asia and am glad I found them!

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store my wool?

If you are not wearing your wool regularly, we recommend storing it in a cedar chest or in a sealed Ziploc bag.

How should I wash my wool?

Always wash your wool on a delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. Never use bleach.

How do I know what size to order?

Each product page contains a Size Chart to help you select the correct size based on body measurements. If you need any additional sizing information, please reach out to our customer service team. We know that online shopping can sometimes be frustrating, and we are always here to help!

Do moths really eat wool?

Moth and other bugs do like to nibble on most natural fibers, wool included. If you suspect you have moths, we recommend washing your wool, air dry, then freeze to kill any eggs that may be present. Storing your wool properly will prevent damage from bugs.

When will an out-of-stock item be available?

Our Fall/Winter collection gets fully restocked in September, while our Spring/Summer collection restocks in April. Small restocks are done throughout the year.
